This special and unique design was created for dry climates and to resist radial tires. Unlike concrete, clay provides a medium that retains water substantially better than concrete. The smaller diameter of the holes is important since radial tires cannot penetrate as deeply to kill the grass. This "Grass Paver" is designed to provide unique paving with grass for fire lanes, service drives, parking lots, patios, walkways, floors, and plazas. D'Hanis recommends use of the "Grass Paver" in Moderate Weathering climates.
